This ring shows three types of setting methods. The bead-set leaf and vine design Janet Alix (www.alixand company.com) is so well known for was used as the basis for the prong-mounted sapphire. Small diamonds were also flush set in balls around the sapphire to provide added structural support and decorative balance to the ring’s components.
